The work responsibilities of an obgyn is to work with women to diagnose, treat, and prevent medical conditions and disorders that are unique to women. Such conditions include menopause, cervical cancer, and breast cancer. They also work with women who are pregnant until they deliver and continue to offer care into postpartum.

Besides the responsibilities named above, obgyns also counsel patients, gather medical history, document medical history, and do annual examinations. To gather information from patients, workers need good communication skills. They also need to be empathetic and good at interpersonal relations to succeed in the career.
