Basic Info On Energy Healing

By Elaine Guthrie

Evidence and innovations have been a bragging point for Western medicine for many years in the science circles. There are many other kinds of illness fixes, such as those used in holistic medicine. Energy healing is more prevalent today and accepted more widely than in the past, and offers the patient a positive outcome in many cases.

This type of medicinal practice works with chakras or energetic storage points inside the body and the aura. They are believed to channel positive and negative spiritual energies to keep a body balanced, which is based in Eastern practices. Whenever there is a pain or problem in Eastern societies, chakras are used to begin to help them heal.

The chakras are aligned directly in the center line down the body like your spine. They include the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root. Each is responsible for the inner workings of the body and ensuring that they all stay healthy.

Crown works with the nervous system, while the third eye works with hormones and glands. The throat works with communication, thyroid and expression whereas the heart chakra works with chest, immune system and blood. The solar plexus deals with the pancreas and digestion while the sacral area deals with reproductive issues. Lastly the root area deals with the spine and gluteal areas.

Stones are commonly instituted in this medicinal practice, where one is put on top of a chakra to get it to realign with the others. When the spiritual body is believed to be in line, the physical is thought to follow using these methods. A heated stone is thought to pull in positive vibrations and energies, and when put onto a chakra is thought to channel that to the correct area to get a healthy outcome.

Although there isn't any proof that these therapies work as they are believed to, there are thousands of practitioners in the world that use it. Curing or assisting in the treatment of gallbladder diseases and ulcers to heart palpitations and infections, the alternative therapies offered are sought by patients. Many still get traditional treatment for surgeries or repairs of that nature, as this kind of treatment is normally used only for those procedures that are noninvasive in nature.

One other kind of medicine that uses some of these principles is with another practitioner. These providers use only their body and hands to offer therapy and treatment to patients. They believe that taking on negative energies from patients into their own bodies will cause positive flow in a patient and cause good health to reinstate.

No matter the kind of medicinal therapy that is used, there are many hundreds of thousands of people that believe in the positive power of belief and its outcome. If you have an illness or pain that your doctors have yet to be able to take care of, you may look into this kind of relief. For details on what is offered and available to you, ask for a referral to a holistic provider from your doctor or at a health food store.
