Together with the above remedy procedures, you can use several pain relievers that will actively reduce lameness and cramp in the foot. The medication can be fast acting if the pony is in intense agony. A good example is an analgesic that is very effective in alleviating inflammation and cramping on the limb of the steed.

In the event that the steed has mild inflammation, aspirin is highly recommended to ease the pain. This drug is also used to reduce discomfort or swelling thus it can be helpful to the pony. In case the plug is also suffering from fever, ensure that you have given it some drugs that quickly reduce the fever and cramping. There are so many other drugs that may be used to alleviate inflammation and to cramp in places where the horse is ailing.
