It is only natural for instructors and school leaders to have a collaborative process where they can learn more about their practice. This collaborative process is better known as the instructional rounds. These instructors and school leaders need this so that they can develop a collaborative understanding of learning and teaching.

During this process, it is required for a team to briefly visit a classroom so that they can observe and collect data in accordance to essential questions of their practice. Of course, classroom observations are just a small part of this process. There are other parts that must be undertaken, such as discussions.

You can trust the district leadership teams of the teachers to form the essential question vital to this process. They are the ones who will be deciding on this particular question. They will need to take note of high-leverage, high-yield results for their students. Through that, they should be able to obtain the most out of the said question.

It is definitely necessary for the school to commit and implement to this process. This is required to improve the achievements that the students can aim for. You can see a lot of research that clearly identifies how classroom instructions become an important factor for the achievement of the students. Thus, the importance of the process.

There should be no problem in implementing this process. After all, both the union and the administration are in agreement to the process. They are both aware of the said process right from the start. They know that this methodology is what will help increase professionalism in teaching. It aids with the role and responsibilities of teachers too.

All of the schools in existence these days will have to go through the said process. There is no school that can go against this process. This means that all of the schools in existence will have to comply with this. Of course, the process can be implemented in all levels and even in all districts. Proper application can yield good results in the future so do it right.

There are a lot of people who will be involved in the said process. The least number of participants is 25. You will actually need about 25 participants for this, including principals, assistant principals, instructors, and central office personnel. The team visiting the classrooms should be no more than six people. These people should be the individuals who are qualified to attend the said process.

You need to find the right people in the team. You will need to coordinate a lot of things with them so make sure that they are cooperative. If you can find the right people and you can apply this process properly, then the result will definitely be good for you. You can achieve a lot with this particular process.

The classrooms that are going to go through this process is just a random sample. This means that not all classrooms will be going through the process. It will be a picking. If a teacher is lucky enough, his or her classroom will be visited for five to fifteen minutes for about two to four times a day.
