If you want to be a professional and take up a noble profession, you should take up teaching then. You will find this an easy job, especially if you got the assistance of other teachers. You will have an opportunity to gather information out of observing teachers. This opportunity presents itself in the form of instructional rounds. Teachers are asked to participate in this so that they can observe their peers objectively. Here are the things that teachers can learn when they participate in this particular activity.

First, you should be able to come to an understanding on what the various elements related to the instructional core are. This is very crucial for the school. As long as you can understand what the said elements are, then you will find easy to apply the said elements to areas where they are truly needed. You can use them to the fullest.

Through observing, it should not be a problem for you to develop all the required skills in utilizing the school protocols. You should know already how these protocols help with the improvement of the teacher's teaching and learning skills. It can help the said teacher become a well-rounded professional in this field.

It is only a must to observe classes handled by peers meticulously. This is so that you can measure the effectiveness of certain learning and teaching theories, principles, and other similar phenomenon. When you find the said theories, principles, and other elements effective, you can then apply what you learn into your own.

You should know what those key elements are when it comes to the development of classroom culture. It should not be a problem for you to know what these are. You can get the said information via observation in the round. These key elements should be helpful to develop culture in one's classroom.

Another thing that you have to pay attention to is professional development. Know that developing one's professional skills is vital. You need to identify what your professional development needs are. Not only you but the others in this field can develop with that too. You can have this applied to a school level or district level.

Every school needs to have an explicit theory of action. Since you are a teacher at a school and the explicit theory of action is necessary, it is through the observation of peers that you can come to an understanding towards that. You can also understand the relationship of that explicit theory of action in the school improvement process.

Through this observation, it should be a simple task for you to generate a first-draft action plan. Know that this is a vital action plan that you will find necessary when you want to tie up your work with the exerted improvement effort for the school. You will see this action plan being properly carried out at a school, district, or state level.
