Give These All Natural Lice Treatments A Try At Home Now

By Matthew Martin

It can be sickening to imagine there are tiny insects residing on the top of your head that are feasting your very own blood. Making things worse is the thought that they can spread to your loved ones rather easily. The good news is there are many lice treatments you may try in the comfort of your home. The following are some of the most impressive.

Count on a little garlic paste. Reach for 10 garlic cloves and turn them into mush with the help of a blender or food processor. Mix 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil to the paste. The resulting mixture should then be applied and left on the scalp for 30 minutes. Step foot in the shower and get your mane shampooed.

Massage some olive oil. If you cannot stand the smell of garlic, then feel free to use olive oil only. Apply a generous amount of if on your scalp and let it stay there for several hours. The best time to do this is before you hop into bed to sleep. Wear a shower cap to keep your pillows from ending up stained. Shampoo very well in the morning.

Trust coconut oil. Suffering from head lice infestation can cause the scalp to have tiny red bumps. They can leave you scratching the whole day. You can manage the itchiness, bumps and also parasites by applying some coconut oil on your head and then wearing a shower cap at bedtime. The next day, shampoo thoroughly.

Spread a little baby oil. For someone who is budget conscious, he or she may use baby oil instead of olive oil or coconut oil. Again, it's a good idea to have baby oil applied on the scalp at bedtime. Putting on a shower cap is definitely recommended. In the morning, shampoo the hair very well in order to get rid of excess scalp greasiness.

Grab that petroleum jelly jar. There is no denying that petroleum jelly is more trouble free to apply than any kind of oil. However, it can be troublesome to eliminate afterwards. Still you can rely on petroleum jelly if you want to get rid of your head scalp naturally and effectively.

Dilute some tea tree oil. An essential oil loved by many, tea tree oil can be used for solving all sorts of common problems. It's something that you may rely upon to enjoy a parasite free scalp. Mix a teaspoon of tea tree oil and 6 teaspoons of your favorite shampoo. Wet your hair, massage the mixture on your scalp and wear a shower cap. Rinse off after 30 minutes.

Blend salt and white vinegar. Reach for a small spray bottle and place a quarter of a cup of salt and a quarter of a cup of white vinegar in it. Shake vigorously for several seconds until no more salt grain remains. Spray the resulting solution on your scalp and don a shower cap. Allow 30 minutes to pass before shampooing and conditioning.

Smear generous amounts of mayonnaise. Believe it or not, mayonnaise is not only good at making sandwiches taste better but also getting rid of head lice. All you have to do is apply it liberally on the scalp. Let it stay there for 1 to 2 hours, or even longer for better results. Afterwards, hit the shower to shampoo your hair.
